- New Years Eve at the [[Blacksmiths Arms, St Albans]]
- Went there with just Natalie and Dad, as Abigail was feeling unwell.
- It was nice. Saw [[Cousin Jamie]]’s old friend Chad.
- Woke up early, around 04:00-05:00. For the first few hours I felt truly horrible. And threw up several times.
- Oddly, later on in the day from midday – after a [[McDonalds]] – I perked up. And actually I had a lovely day in the end. I felt oddly happy. Watched [[Wolfs (2024)]] and something else I can’t remember.

- [[David Gray]] at the [[Royal Albert Hall]]
- Drank 2.5 strong Belgian beers before the concert. 160ml of Johnny Walker Black and 2 [[Stella Artois]] during.
- I’m losing my touch. Another time I’ve drunk, another time I’ve thrown up and been hungover the next day.
- I knew this from my last drink/concert combo, but I must remember it: start drinking earlier. 90 minutes before the start of the (actual) show is too late. It takes too long to ‘peak’.
- But more than that: stop drinking so bloody much at concerts! Those last 1-2 drinks will guarantee a truly awful hangover. And even without them I might get one.
- I get it, concerts sober aren’t very fun. And I don’t drink much. But the feeling the next day isn’t worth it.
